Mahindra Scorpio Classic 4×4 vs Scorpio N Off-Road
This video comes from Small Town Rider on YouTube. The host has a Mahindra Scorpio Classic 4×4, Scorpio N and Thar for an exciting off-roading challenge. In the first instance, they are at a place with a slope and a step. The Scorpio Classic 4×4 attempts to drive over it. However, due to a lack of locking differential, it struggles a bit. That is when the Scorpio N was able to glide over this obstacle relatively effortlessly. Then, the driver of the Scorpio Classic carried speed and momentum and was able to overcome the obstacle with brut force. Thar was able to do it is 4×2 configuration due a shorter wheelbase.

For the second case, they try to drive over a sandy slope. Again, locking differentials would be critical in this case. The Scorpio N is able to tackle this challenge convincingly. It barely got stuck at any point at all. Then came the Scorpio Classic. But it struggled a lot this time around. The driver tried to power through multiple times. But it was not supposed to be. In fact, the tyres dug themselves into the sand so deep that it had to be towed out by another Scorpio. All in all, the improvement by Mahindra on its SUVs over the years is evident in this case.

While the competition was exciting, it’s important to understand that even though it might seem fun to try similar stunts, it’s not safe. Replicating these activities can be dangerous and could damage your vehicle. Even though cars like the Mahindra Scorpio and Thar are designed for off-road adventures, it’s not wise to push them beyond their limits for the sake of thrill. Let’s pledge to drive responsibly and avoid trying risky maneuvers. Our safety should come first at all times. Also, it’s vital not to judge a vehicle’s abilities solely based on one incident like this.
