MG Motors is offering price cuts on all its cars this month. At the moment, the Chinese-owned British carmaker has six products in its Indian portfolio – Comet (EV), ZS EV, Astor, Hector, Hector Plus and Gloster. Apart from the Astor, all vehicles have received price cuts. This could be a critical decision to spur demand. MG has not been selling in very high numbers due to stiff competition in all these segments. In order to tackle the competition and sweeten the deal for new customers, these price cuts are announced. MG Comet
The first vehicle on this list is the MG Comet. It is a 4-seater compact electric car which aims to cater to buyers who want a city commuter. It is being offered with discounts worth upto Rs 1.40 lakh. That makes it really enticing since it now starts at just Rs 6.99 lakh, ex-showroom. In fact, the top model now retails for Rs 8.58 lakh, ex-showroom. That makes the entire proposition much more value for money.

MG ZS EV
Then there is another EV on this list of the MG cars with price cuts. ZS EV is the electric version of the Astor mid-size SUV. It was among the first products in India in this category. It now gets a significant discount of Rs 2.90 lakh. Essentially, the company has launched the Executive trim of the electric SUV at Rs 18.98 lakh, ex-showroom. That makes the lineup more accessible to a whole lot of new potential buyers.

MG Hector and Hector Plus
The Hector siblings are next on this list. Note that Hector Plus is the 7-seat version of the Hector. Presently, both these SUVs offer a discount of Rs 80,000. They belong to an extremely competitive market segment with the likes of Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra Scorpio N, Tata Harrier and Tata Safari. Hence, such a price cut could help get the attention of potential buyers.

MG Gloster
Finally, we take a look at the price cuts for the MG Gloster. It is the flagship model from MG in India. It is the Toyota Fortuner-rivalling 7-seat off-roading SUV with tons of luxury and safety tech. The buyers can avail of benefits of upto Rs 1.34 lakh on the Gloster. That might seem like a substantial amount but remember that the SUV costs between Rs 38.08 lakh and Rs 43 lakh, ex-showroom.
