The iCNG version of the Tata Nexon is revealed ahead of the debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo today. Tata Motors is focusing on offering all sorts of powertrain options to its customers. These range from petrol, and diesel, to electric and CNG. Note that the Nexon is already available with petrol, diesel and electric hearts. Adding a CNG version would only enhance its accessibility and popularity even further. Let us check out what this new avatar of the Nexon will offer.

Tata Nexon iCNG Revealed
Nexon is among the top 5 highest-selling cars in the country in 2023. With the latest update, Tata Motors has accentuated the exterior styling even further. We don’t expect it to bear any changes to the design pattern which includes modern elements like a full-width LED light bar on the bonnet, sleek LED DRLs and LED headlamp cluster at the front, elegant alloy wheels, roof rails at the sides, and a full-width LED connected taillamps and sporty bumper at the rear. The CNG badging will be the only giveaway on the body.

Interior and Features
Just like on the outside, the interior and cabin layout will share components from the regular Nexon. Some top features on this ICE version include a free-standing 10.25-inch Touchscreen Infotainment Display, a 10.25-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, a Two-spoke Steering Wheel with an Illuminated Tata Logo, a Rotary Dials for Drive Mode Selection, Touch-operated HVAC Controls, iRA 2.0 Connected Car Tech, Premium Audio System, an Electric Sunroof, Wireless Charging, Ventilated Seats, 6 Airbags, 360-degree camera and more. We expect all of these amenities to make it to the CNG version too.

We will have to wait to witness the kind of output that Nexon will offer with the CNG mill. Obviously, it will be slightly lower than what the 1.2-litre unit in the petrol version makes. For those looking for low running costs, opting for CNG trim will make a lot of sense. In fact, if you live in a metro city, the availability of CNG stations is not an issue either. Nexon CNG will add to the already long list of CNG cars in the country in general, and CNG cars from Tata Motors in particular.
