The latest video showcases the undesirable consequences of over-speeding and not wearing a seatbelt. It is the single most effective way of safeguarding yourself during a car crash. However, most people only wear seatbelts to avoid getting a challan from the cops. In fact, the rear passengers in India barely wear seatbelts at all. This is despite the law mandating that all passengers in cars must wear seatbelts. Unfortunately, people don’t follow the traffic rules and regulations most of the time. For now, let us take a look at some unfortunate results of not wearing a seatbelt.

Perils of Over-Speeding Not Wearing Seatbelt
This video comes from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel features content around the performances of cars in terrible situations, as well as road safety. This time around, the video showcases two separate cases. But before that, the video starts by displaying a couple of instances of what happens during a crash if the occupants are not wearing seatbelts. They are thrown around in the car and even get launched outside it. In the first case, he shows a video of an old Maruti WagonR. It was uncontrolled for some reason and flipped over on the road multiple times.

As some passengers were not wearing seatbelts, they were thrown out of the car on the road. Unfortunately, one passenger lost his life while the other four were injured. In the second case, a Tata Safari was involved. A family of 4 were travelling on a highway after celebrating Pongal. The parents were in the front and their two children were in the rear. For some reason, the SUV hit the back of the tractor and crashed terribly. The entire SUV is in a dilapidated condition. Unfortunately, the children lost their lives, while the parents broke their legs. That is as horrific as it gets. The children were not wearing seatbelts which is why they were thrown around and suffered fatal injuries.

We would like to highlight the significance of wearing seatbelts. It doesn’t matter what the safety rating of your car is. If you get entangled in a high-speed accident or get hit by some other car, the only thing that will save you is the seatbelt and airbags. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers.
