This latest edition of a copycat Range Rover Vogue is doing rounds on the internet. We know that the Chinese are popular for ‘recreating’ premium cars, but this latest iteration comes from Bangladesh. While a few of you might be fooled by looking at the front fascia, the diminutive dimensions give away its true identity of being a replica. However, we don’t know about the exact donor model. That, in itself, is a testament to the professionals who created this. Let us take a look at the details here.

This post comes from carcrazy.india on Instagram. The details in the caption inform us regarding the whereabouts of this unique contraption. It mentions that this mini Range Rover hails from Bangladesh. It is an electric car made by Palki Motors. Furthermore, the post also guesses that there might have been Chinese components used to create this. That is not far away from the reality. A lot of automobile components, especially pertaining to electric powertrains are actually sourced from China. Hence, it is entirely possible that a car shop in Bangladesh imported these components and ended up constructing this Range Rover Vogue replica.

Talking about the specifics of this model, the front end is quite imposing. This is due to the chunky grille finished in chrome in a honeycomb pattern. The LED headlamp cluster neatly integrates the square-shaped LED DRLs within the housing itself. This is quite reminiscent of the original Range Rover Vogue. Apart from that, the bumper design lends the wannabe SUV a rugged appearance. The side profile consists of black side pillars and tiny steel wheels. This is where the original DNA of this donor model gets exposed. The dimensions are so tiny that it looks like a compact hatchback. Still, we appreciate the efforts to come up with something like this.

Not The First Time
We have also reported such replicas of premium cars in the past. Most of them are from China. For instance, this WagonR-sized Land Cruiser could fool anyone at first glance. This is true particularly from the front. The attention to detail regarding the massive grille is commendable. It is only once you look at it from the side that you know that something is no adding up. While it is relatively easy to imitate the front and rear profiles, one can’t easily stretch the wheelbase of the car. Therefore, it still remains a compact hatchback.

I feel that innovative creations like these offer something unique to the viewers, both online and in real life. However, I am not well-versed with the local laws of Bangladesh. Therefore, I can’t say with absolute certainty whether this is road-legal or not. But if it is an EV and allowed to travel on the road, it could help a lot of people who wish to use something like this in cities. Its compact dimensions and low running costs (because it is an EV) could be enticing propositions for a lot of buyers. Obviously, the original price has to be reasonable.
