Tata Punch EV Gets Acti.EV Architecture and a Facelift!
The Punch.EV stands on the Acti.EV platform, marking a departure from Tata’s previous EV approach. Unlike its predecessors converted from ICE models, this platform is a dedicated electric vehicle architecture, laying the foundation for upcoming models like Harrier, Safari EV, Curvv EV, and Sierra EV.
The exterior design receives a contemporary makeover. The front fascia, now sharper and more modern, boasts connected LED DRLs, doubling as a battery level indicator. The LED headlights, resembling a mini Harrier, add to the aesthetics. The 16-inch alloy wheels, glossy black ORVMs with 360 cameras, and refreshed rear end with LED taillights showcase Tata’s commitment to style.
Stepping inside, the Punch.EV captivates with its revamped interior. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, illuminated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a digital instrument gauge cluster dominate the dashboard. Touch-based HVAC controls, electric sunroof, bejeweled rotary dial, and ventilated front seats elevate the driving experience.

Opening the bonnet reveals the electric motor setup. The Punch EV offers a spirited performance, emphasizing the shift towards sustainability. The 40 kWh battery in the LR variant provides an impressive 431 km range. Meanwhile, the MR variant, equipped with a 30 kWh battery pack, promises a practical 315 km ARAI certified range.
Tata offers the Punch EV in LR (long range) and MR (medium range) variants. The LR variant packs a robust electric motor generating 120 PS power and 190 Nm torque, ensuring a top speed of 140 kmph. On the other hand, the MR variant focuses on efficiency, offering a balanced power delivery with 80 PS power and 114 Nm torque.
