Hyundai has officially revealed the images of the new Creta facelift. The mid-cycle facelift for the most popular compact SUV in the country is set to be unveiled on January 16. These digital renderings come after a series of leaked spy shots surfaced online. Notably, the Creta facelift designed for India diverges from the Tucson-inspired look found in the global version. Instead, it boasts a more robust front fascia, in line with the carmaker’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ theme. Here are the details in the fresh images.

Official Images of New Hyundai Creta Facelift
Notably, the new design language marks a distinct departure from the existing model. At the front, the viewers get a sleek LED light bar which culminates into stylized LED DRLs on either side. Additionally, the front fascia features a colossal grille with unique elements and quad-LED headlamps on the sides. This new model even gets rugged skid plates along with a sporty bumper. On the sides, there are adventurous side skirtings and a new set of alloy wheels. In all honestly, the side profile resembles the current model to a large extent. At the rear, there is a connected LED taillamp unit with a signature design and a sturdy skid plate. Also, there is a high-mount stop lamp, shark fin antenna and roof-mounted spoiler with roof rails.

The upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift is set to maintain the existing 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. However, a new addition to the lineup will be the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, currently featured in the new Verna. The power and torque outputs for these engines are 115 PS / 144 Nm, 115 PS / 250 Nm, and 160 PS / 253 Nm, respectively. Buyers will have the flexibility to choose from a 6-speed manual, IVT (CVT automatic), or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, depending on the variant. The pricing details within the range will be revealed during the launch ceremony.
