Maruti Celerio Owner Installs Spikes
This post comes from mechanical.jugadu on Instagram. The person who is making the video arrives at a residential area somewhere in Delhi. He showcases the stray dogs lying on the road. Then he highlights the reason why. The owner of a Celerio parked nearby has installed plastic spikes on the roof of his car. It looks like a mat with raised spikes. They leave no place for animals to sit. Hence, people can prevent dogs from climbing on the roofs of cars. This might not be the best way to achieve the goal, but we expect it to be effective.

Alternative Solutions
There are alternative approaches to safeguarding cars from damage caused by dogs or exposure to the elements when parked outdoors. One option is employing a dog alarm that activates when the dog makes contact with the car, akin to an anti-theft alarm that can deter the animal. Additionally, employing a car cover can shield the paint and body surface from minor scratches inflicted by dog paws. For a similar protective outcome, a thick transparent sheet can also be utilized.

Author’s Note
While this might seem like the best solution for this problem, there are some pretty interesting comments from dog lovers. They mention that one could even get a sack or rough cloth to spread on the road so that the dogs can sleep there in harsh winters. That will provide an alternative for the dogs to stay warm during cold nights. Not to mention, we understand that dogs can damage cars with their paws and even dent some flimsy cars from the roof. Hence, you must do everything to prevent that if you park your car outside. It is just that we need to be kind and mindful of other creatures too.
