Hyundai Creta Facelift
The Hyundai Creta stands as the best-selling mid-size SUV in our country. While the facelift version of the Creta was introduced in the international market a few months ago, the existing model continues to enjoy high demand in India, prompting the second-largest carmaker in the country to delay the launch of the facelift. However, 2024 may mark the year when the facelifted Creta finally makes its debut. Expect significant updates to its exterior appearance, particularly at the front with the inclusion of the Parametric Grille. Interior changes may be limited to the addition of a few modern features. Additionally, it is set to receive the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine introduced with the new Verna, while the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to remain. This is easily among the most important upcoming Hyundai cars in India in 2024.

Hyundai EV Facelift
Interestingly, the electric variant of the Hyundai Creta might finally make its debut in 2024, adopting the body of the new Creta available in international markets. There are expectations that it will feature distinct elements to differentiate it from the regular model. In fact, it could potentially utilize the powertrain from the Kona Electric, which has faced challenges in sales in India. The Creta EV could serve as a viable replacement.
It is anticipated to come equipped with a 39.2 kWh Lithium-ion polymer battery pack powering a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with a peak output of 136 PS and 395 Nm. Utilizing an AC home charger, the battery pack can be replenished from 0 to 100% in approximately 6 hours and 10 minutes. Alternatively, with a 50 kW DC fast charger, an 80% charge from 0 can be achieved in just 57 minutes. According to ARAI, the Kona Electric boasts a driving range of 452 km on a full charge.
