The Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift is set to debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October.
Changes to the car will be limited, the headlamps and tail-lamps will be redesigned to bring the design closer to Mercedes’s new family look. The car could be offered with LED headlamps too, whether that would make it to India remains to be seen. Slight modification to the equipment inside may also be made with the facelift. The B-Class has been doing well in the Indian market and we expect Mercedes to launch the update sometime later in 2015.

Within a couple of years of its global launch and a year in India, German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz seems to be working on a facelift of the B-Class sports tourer. This effort has been undertaken despite the fact that the mini MPV/large hatchback is doing well for the company all over the world. Spy shots of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift have been posted online by World Car Fans, you can see them below.
By the looks of it the facelifted car will get cosmetic changes to its nose, no mechanical changes are expected. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift will receive all new headlamps, a new grille, a few changes to the front bumper and new exhaust tips at the rear. The ground clearance of the test mule seems to have been lowered, whether this will be a feature on the production model is not known.
As we said earlier, there might not be any significant changes in the engine specifications of the face lift. So, one should expect the same turbo petrol and turbo diesel engines to be powering the. A 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox will be the two transmission options available, with power being transmitted to the front wheels.
We expect the car to be available for European and the North American buyers by the end of 2013 and it may take a couple of months since then for it to be introduced in India.
