In an almost unbelievable feat, a Toyota Hilux tows an 8-ton tanker up a steep slope with an icy surface. You will come across some pretty insane achievements by the mighty Toyota pickup trucks and SUVs. But this one is particularly special. Being a Toyota, it is known for its reliability and incredible off-roading capabilities. In fact, it shares a lot of elements with its 7-seater sibling. This video comes from hg_auto_talks1 on Instagram. It captures the entire incident. If it were not for the video evidence, no one would’ve believed that something like this happened. In this clip, the Hilux is seen on a steep incline. It is trying to pull a gigantic truck up the hill using a thick rope. However, the main challenge is the snow and ice on the surface. It makes the surface extremely slippery. Hence, it is difficult to have enough traction to put the power down. Still, it looks like the Hilux owner has appropriate tyres. As a result, it is able to pull the truck up Shinku La in Himachal Pradesh. The entire endeavour is quite commendable.

Author’s Note
It is just fascinating to witness how the Hilux is able to pull this stunt off. We understand that Toyota SUVs have a reputation for being extremely capable and reliable. In fact, many people have driven Toyota cars for millions of kilometres without any serious issues. But to perform such an arduous stunt on a slippery surface proves beyond any shred of doubt just how impressive their performances are in real life. Still, we would like to caution our readers to not deliberately go for such stunts. Things could easily go out of hand in a matter of seconds. Make sure to prioritise your own safety and the safety of everyone else.
