The Australian media is sharing its reviews of the new 5-door Maruti Jimny. The Jimny, a renowned 3-door lightweight off-road SUV with a history spanning over 50 years, has achieved widespread global acclaim. It stands out as a favoured option among a diverse group of buyers seeking an affordable and nimble off-roading SUV in various regions worldwide. Australia, in particular, has now welcomed the 5-door model and the rationale behind this addition is straightforward – customers in the region highly prioritize practicality. Australian Media Reviews 5-Door Maruti Suzuki Jimny
This video comes from Drive.com.au on YouTube. The host has the new long-wheelbase Jimny. They are calling it the Suzuki Jimny XL. Essentially, it is the 5-door model which is longer and more practical than the 3-door one. On the front and rear, there are barely any changes to the exterior styling in comparison to the regular Jimny. It is only when you glance at it from the side that you notice the extended length and the addition of an extra door. Still, the SUV maintains a solid road presence which is what its customers love about it traditionally.

Interior and Features
Stepping inside the cabin will reveal that there are not that many changes to the cabin layout either. However, some prominent updates include a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system (up from 7-inch in the regular trim), wireless Apple CarPlay, rear parking sensors, digital radio, adaptive cruise control (in automatic version), and metallic chrome inserts on the grille. Apart from that, the long wheelbase liberates quite a lot of room for the second-row passengers. In fact, this also translates to boot space. The rear seats also get a two-step adjustment and a 50:50 split. Here are the dimensions of the two Suzuki Jimny SUVs:
