Recently, a Ford EcoSport crashed down a hillside. Fortunately, cricketer Mohammed Shami came to their rescue.
Mohammed Shami had a great run in this year’s cricket World Cup. He won many hearts with his performance in the field. I was particularly impressed with his sincerity and I think it paid off with numerous wickets. Despite the team’s loss in the final, he has successfully earned everyone’s respect. However, Mohammed Shami is continuing to impress with his conduct off the field alone. Recently, he was on his way to Nainital when he ended up saving a life. This incident was captured on video.

Mohammed Shami Gives First Aid to Ford EcoSport Owner
As you can see in the video below, Mohammed Shami volunteered to help a fellow driver whose car met with an accident. Not only did Shami stop his car and help the victim to safety, but he also applied first aid. This act of kindness shows the cricketer’s humanity and good nature. It is also a good example for his fans or anyone watching. Just like Mohammed Shami, we should act as responsible citizens and help those in need. This is an important lesson in today’s age when people are getting more and more self-absorbed.
The above-mentioned incident also highlights and importance of road safety. The Ford EcoSport was on its way to Nainital when it fell from a mountain. Fortunately, its fall was broken by a tree. As you can see above, it was resting against a tree, when Mohammed Shami came to rescue the driver and the family. The accident occurred as the driver could not negotiate a turn and was under-steered. While we don’t know many details about the EcoSport owner, it is advisable to avoid travelling through hills if you don’t have enough experience.

Author’s Note
Mohammed Shami was travelling to the same hill station in his Mercedes GLS. He emerges as a shining reminder for passive travellers who don’t act responsibly. While the government has made efforts to incentivize assistance in road accidents, there is still a long way to go. It is to be noted that anyone who helps an accident victim is not subjected to legal complications. Additionally, 108 emergency ambulance services are operational across India. Some state governments even offer cash rewards to individuals who help fellow citizens. As the story of Shami’s actions spreads, it should become a catalyst for a collective responsibility to safer roads.
