Tata Nexon Owner Buys Hyundai Venue
This video comes from DDS on YouTube. It captures the interview of the man who sold his Nexon and bought the Venue. His Nexon was petrol and his Venue is diesel. Firstly, there is a lot of difference in the mileage figures on both cars simply due to the fuel. Apart from that, the man mentions that he drove the Nexon for 4.5 years. However, there were reliability issues with the compact SUV. He faced breakdowns 4-5 times. He felt that he was not safe, especially on occasions where he had to travel during the night with his family. The SUV could break down at any time. He got it fixed every time but he lost faith in the car.

Still, he was able to get a good resale value of the Nexon. Then, he opted for the base trim of the Venue in diesel. He feels that the cabin is much more modern, there are tons of new-age functions like Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Steering-mounted Controls, Automatic Headlamps, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and more. Most importantly, cars from Hyundai are reliable. Finally, having a diesel car is great for the mileage and ownership costs. He is particularly impressed by the noise insulation despite it being a diesel mill. All these factors are the reasons why he settled for Venue.

What We Think
We understand the rationale behind the man opting for Hyundai Venue. Even though Tata cars are selling like hotcakes at the moment, some people still prefer the reliability and dense service network of Hyundai. That is the reason why Hyundai still remains the second-largest carmaker in the country behind Maruti Suzuki. Also, shifting from petrol to diesel will surely be beneficial for running and fuel costs. There is a huge difference in the mileage figures of both these fuels. The owner also feels that even if he owns the car for 10 years due to the emission norms, it will be worth it.
