You can pair this engine with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. For optimal power distribution to all four wheels, the SUV employs Suzuki’s renowned ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 system, which includes a low-range transfer case and a locking differential. With a ground clearance of 210 mm, the Jimny offers impressive approach, breakover, and departure angles at 36°, 24°, and 50°, respectively. As for pricing, it ranges from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 15.05 lakh, ex-showroom.

Mahindra Thar

Thar has been the most successful off-roader in the country since its inception. At the moment, there are benefits upto Rs 30,000 on the 4×4 diesel automatic trim. The Mahindra Thar offers two engine options – a 2.2-litre turbo diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, with power and torque figures of 130 hp / 320 Nm and 150 hp / 320 Nm, respectively. Buyers can choose between a manual and an automatic transmission. The SUV is equipped with a dedicated 4×4 drivetrain, ensuring its capability to conquer a variety of terrains. Force Gurkha

Force Gurkha is the closest worthy rival to the Mahindra Thar in our market. However, it has not achieved too high volumes. Toyota Hilux
