An all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift is in the works for a while. It is expected to be launched in India early next year. Meanwhile, a JDM-spec version is expected to be unveiled in Tokyo this month. It will be part of the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Several details of the upcoming car have surfaced online. Additionally, the brand has also released images of the new Swift. Design
The upcoming model is expected to retain the overall silhouette of the current model. You can also see strong character lines around the car. However, it looks more muscular and sportier. On the front, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift will get a redesigned front grille. On the back, the brand has added a sportier bumper and a slightly more muscular-looking bonnet. Additionally, the rear door handle has been repositioned. The current model places the rear door handle next to the window.
Interior Features
On the inside, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift will come with standard features like a heads-up display, wireless charging, auto headlamps, a 360-degree camera, and more. It will also feature a floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Additionally, the upcoming model is likely to borrow seat colour schemes from the Fronx and the new Brezza. On the other hand, variants with sportier engine options might feature red accents on the dashboard, steering wheel, seats, etc.
All-new Maruti Suzuki Swift Specs
The much-awaited car is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine that offers 90bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. For transmission, it can be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The company will also offer a CNG version of the same engine. Additionally, Suzuki has announced that the all-new Swift will get a “high-efficiency engine that will strike a balance between performance and fuel efficiency.” This means that it might offer a 1-litre turbo petrol engine or a new 1.2-litre petrol engine with a strong hybrid system.
Safety Features
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift will be based on a modified Heartect platform. It is said to come with improved safety standards than the current model. For safety, the new version of Swift is said to come with 6 airbags, ESC, and ABS with EBD across all variants. Additionally, the top-end variants will get features like hill hold assist, collision-mitigating braking, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring, high beam assist, and ISOFIX anchor points.

Price and Launch date
With new design and powertrain options, Maruti hopes to place the new Swift in the sporty segment again. It is set to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show this month. While the Indian launch is expected to be early next year, an exact launch date has not been revealed yet. Additionally, the price of the new model is still under wraps.
