Exclusively manufactured in India, the 5-door Maruti Jimny will be shipped to markets in Latin America, Middle East, and Africa
Maruti Suzuki India kickstarts exports for the five-door Jimny. It may be noted here that the 5-door iteration of this thoroughbred off-roader is exclusively produced in India. The SUV will be shipped to regions like Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. The 5-door Jimny made its public debut at the Auto Expo 2023 and rivals the Mahindra Thar in India.

Maruti Suzuki’s Export Range Comprises 17 Models
In November 2020, Maruti Suzuki initiated the production of the three-door Jimny for export purposes, focusing on markets in Latin America and Africa. Subsequently, in June of this year, the Jimny 5-door went on sale in the Indian market. As part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Maruti Suzuki now exports a diverse lineup of 17 vehicles spanning various segments. In the previous fiscal year, Maruti Suzuki achieved the distinction of being the leading passenger vehicle exporter, with a total of 255,439 passenger vehicles exported, marking an 8 percent increase compared to the 2021-22 fiscal year.

5-door Maruti Jimny Specs
The Maruti Jimny features a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that generates 103 hp and 134 Nm of power and torque. It offers a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The SUV comes with Suzuki ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 system. This hardware ensures efficient power distribution to all four wheels. The system incorporates a low-range transfer case and a locking differential for enhanced off-road capabilities. Notably, the Jimny features an impressive 210 mm ground clearance, as well as outstanding approach, breakover, and departure angles of 36°, 24°, and 50°, respectively. The pricing for the Jimny ranges from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 15.05 lakh, ex-showroom.
