September 2023 witnessed a similar scenario. As per the data from FADA, the Honda Elevate has outsold the MQB-A0-IN-based Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun put together. It is noteworthy that this data represent dealer dispatches, and actual sales figures may differ by some margin. Moreover, sales data for newly launched models can be influenced by dealers’ inventory buildup during the initial months. Honda Elevate Clocks 5,685 Unit Sale
In its second month on the market, Honda Elevate achieves a pretty decent sale of 5,685 units. With this, it surpasses the Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and MG Astor. However, the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara remain the top choices among buyers. Despite this, the Elevate’s promising start may contribute to Honda’s competitiveness in the demanding Indian market.

Cumulative Sales of VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq
In all, Skoda achieved sales of 2,360 units for its well-received Kushaq last month. Its sibling, the VW Taigun, sold 1,586 copies. This helps the latest C-SUV with a better performance than the MQB-AO-IN offerings. Also, it’s pretty clear that even though the segment toppers might not face much heat from the Elevate, the same isn’t true for the the less popular options.

The Honda Elevate has taken the spotlight as the brand’s standout model. It accounts for 58 percent of Honda’s total sales last month. This mid-size SUV, in fact, outsells both the Amaze (2,577 units) and City (1,509 units). Also, compared to 2,822 units sold in August, the new SUV managed to double its sales figures last month. This significant performance contributed to Honda’s impressive YoY growth of over 13 percent.
