While the next booking window for the new Harley-Davidson X440 will open on October 16, the motorcycle will now cost Rs 2.40 lakh (Rs 11,000 increment over the introductory price)
Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, will start the deliveries of the Harley-Davidson X440 on the first day of Navratri festival, October 15. It may be noted here that the X440 is first-ever co-developed motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson. Also, the next booking window of the entry-level premium motorcycle will open on October 16.
The production of the Harley-Davidson X440 is underway at Hero MotoCorp’s Garden Factory in Neemrana, Rajasthan. Test rides for pre-booked customers have been available since September 1, 2023. The Harley-Davidson X440 was launched at an introductory price of Rs 2.29 lakh. Now, though, the motorcycle costs Rs 2.40 lakh. The motorcycle has got 25,000 bookings, with the top-spec ‘S’ version garnering almost 65 per cent of the total orders.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is equipped with a 440-cc air-oil cooled, fuel-injected engine. It outputs 27 hp @ 6,000 RPM and 38 Nm @ 4,000 RPM. This powerplant is mated to a 6-speed transmission. For its suspension, the bike features Upside-Down forks in the front and a gas-filled twin-tube shock absorber at the rear, offering 7-step preload adjustment. It rolls on an 18-inch front alloy wheel with a 100/90 tire and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel with a 140/70 tire. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc brake. The X440 provides a mileage of 35 km/l and has a 13.5-liter fuel tank capacity, weighing in at 181 kg.

Harle-Davidson X440 Revised Prices: Denim, Vivid, and S Variants

The introductory ex-showroom prices have now been revised and have seen an increment of almost Rs 11,000. The entry-level Denim variant now costs INR 2.4 lakh. Meanwhile, the Vivid variant costs Rs 2.60 lakh, and the S variant costs INR 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the X440 first opened on July 4. Even though the first phase of the booking has concluded, the next window is slated to open in mid-October.
