Tata Harrier Facelift High Speed Testing
This post comes from carswithkaran on Instagram. It captures what looks like the Tata Harrier facelift under heavy camouflage. It has the lights on and the SUV is being driven at a relatively high speed. Someone driving in the adjacent lane was able to record the footage. It encapsulates the exterior silhouette of the upcoming SUV. At the front, there are split-LED DRLs on the bonnet, while the main headlamp cluster sits on the edges of the bumper below. There is a prominent grille visible in the video. At the rear, there is a shark fin antenna and LED taillamps which bear the wraparound effect. The wheel arches look quite prominent too. All in all, the facelift model will have the road presence that we have come to associate with the Harrier all this while.

Specs
Much speculation surrounds the powertrain options likely to be available for the upcoming Tata Harrier. The SUV is expected to retain its current Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo diesel engine, which delivers 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak power and torque. Additionally, there have been numerous reports suggesting the potential introduction of a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, capable of producing 160 PS and 280 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine would represent a larger version of the 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit found in the Nexon. Both manual and automatic transmission options are expected to be offered.

What We Think

Nevertheless, we can expect the aesthetics to be fresh in addition to the interior layout. Moreover, the facelift model will have new-age features to pamper the buyers. That is the only way to compete in this brutal category with many products from the rivals. For more details, we shall have to wait for the official launch.
