Toyota Kirloskar Motor has started a recall campaign for diesel variants of the Corolla Altis produced between 3rd August 2012 and 14th February 2013. The company has found problems on the left or right driveshaft in certain cars produced in the above mentioned period, but hasn’t ascertained how serious the problem might be. We now know that about 1000 units of the Corolla Altis diesel might be affected by the recall. Owners of cars produced in the aforementioned period are requested to contact the nearest Toyota dealership and get their cars inspected. The driveshaft(s), if found to be faulty, will be repaired or replaced free of cost. The whole process should take about two hours.
