MotoGP has come to India for the very first time and the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) is where all the action will unfold.
Commemorating the maiden MotoGP Bharat event, spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev completes the inaugural lap at the BIC before the event. The nation is brimming with excitement as India hosts its first-ever MotoGP Grand Prix. BIC was constructed back in 2011 at Dankaur, near Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. It has a capacity of 1,10,000. The Indian Grand Prix is scheduled from September 22 to September 25. This prestigious event is bound to raise the popularity of the sport in the country. Sadhguru Does a Lap Before MotoGP Bharat
Sadhguru is a renowned yogi, spiritual master, motivational speaker and environmentalist. Apart from this, he has an innate passion for luxury bikes and cars. He has travelled across the country on his motorcycles many times over. Ever since he was 18, he got his motorcycle licence and never looked back. In a recent event, Sadhguru rode from Europe to India on a bike to raise awareness about the importance of soil. He owns tons of luxury bikes including a BMW R 1250 RT. Before the practice sessions on the track, he was able to complete a lap.

Sadhguru’s Advice to Youngsters
In this interview with NDTV, he shares his experience and love for the sport. He said, “India is a land of motorcycles, people use two-wheelers more than anything. It’s necessary for youth to expand their energy and they need sport which is challenging, people think it’s dangerous but riding on the road is far more dangerous than riding on the track because on the track it’s all happening in a controlled way with lots of rules and nobody can break the rules. So, overall, it is good for everybody.”

He adds, “I got license just after my 18th birthday, so, for me motorcycle has not just been a transport, not even a sport, it has been kind of freedom to go across the country. I have ridden across India many times and my bike was not like these superbikes, it was the 250cc, single-cylinder bike but I did not ride to any destination as I just enjoyed the scenery and the beauty of the country.” He is certain that the sport will flourish in India. Also, he advises youngsters to learn the sport dedicatedly so that they can excel at it.
