RE Himalayan 452 Spied
This post comes from evothrillofriding on Instagram. It captures the visuals of the motorbike from a testing track. There are no details of the exact location of this track. Nevertheless, we witness the new Himalayan undergoing testing on a set of twisties. The rider is putting the bike to its limits. It looks like he is performing high-speed manoeuvring. This is necessary to see how the motorcycle behaves in conditions where the roads are not straight. People often use it to go on long adventure rides, particularly in the Himalayas. There, the road conditions are different from the highways. Hence, the Himalayan must be able to handle all such terrains with ease.

Specs
There are a few updates on this new Himalayan 452 in comparison to the existing Himalayan 450. The most prominent one being the engine. It will most likely now carry a 451.65-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder SOHC engine which will generate 40.02 hp @8,000 RPM of peak power. This is significantly higher compared to 24.3 hp @6,500 RPM in the current-gen model. This proves that the new engine will be a high-revving unit. There will be plenty of low-end torque to ensure that the riders get the adrenaline rush which they expect from a rugged off-roading adventure bike.

Apart from that, it would also have a new Trellis frame, USD front fork and a monoshock at the rear. One could even hear the exhaust note in this video. The bike would measure 2,245 mm in length, 852 mm in width and will have a wheelbase of 1,510 mm. All these numbers are higher than the existing model. This means that the new Himalayan would be longer and wider than the outgoing model. At the moment, the RE Himalayan 450 retails from Rs 2.80 lakh to Rs 3.10 lakh, ex-showroom. The new version would command a premium over these prices.
