New-Gen Hyundai Elantra – Exterior
The overall silhouette of the new Elantra represents the latest design language from Hyundai. At the front, there are sleek LRD DRLs which merge seamlessly into an LED light bar which runs across the width of the bonnet, LED headlamps, a unique front grille, a sharp splitter, angular fascia with modern appeal and a sloping bonnet line. On the sides, there are elegant 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, black ORVMs, a chrome frame around the windows, and a sloping roofline toward the rear. At the rear, there is a shark fin antenna, connected LED taillamps, swooping bumper with Elantra lettering on the boot lid. All in all, this is quite a smart-looking sedan.

Interior and Features
The cabin layout is quite attractive too. The highlights include a dual-connected infotainment display and digital instrument cluster, drive modes, Bluelink Connected car tech, Navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, physical knobs for HVAC, front seat ventilation (heated), heated steering wheel, wireless charger, electronic parking brake, drive modes, plenty of storage space, stylish AC vents with a uniform pattern across the dashboard, ADAS active safety features, 7 airbags, 8-speaker premium Bose audio system, different-coloured door panels for driver and passenger, electric sunroof and more.

New-gen Hyundai Elantra comes with a potent 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which generates a massive 276 hp of peak power. This engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission rendering incredibly enthusiastic performance. The sedan is 4.6 m long and has a wheelbase of 2.8 m. The fuel tank capacity is 53 litres and the ground clearance is 135 mm. While that might not be enough for our Indian road conditions, it will surely make the vehicle dynamically capable. In Indonesia, the Elantra will retail for Rs 18 lakh, when converted into INR. That is what the Verna costs in our market.
