2023 KTM 390 Duke vs 2024 Model
The new model comes with substantial mechanical changes to make it more riding-friendly. This includes things like an all-new steel Trellis frame with a sub-frame made up of pressure die-cast aluminium and a new curved cast swingarm. Resultantly, the monoshock absorber for the rear suspension system is placed in an off-set position. That allows the exhaust pipe to be installed under the belly of the bike. This makes the overall stance of the motorcycle quite sporty indeed. Apart from that, there is a new LED headlamp with DRLs and a revamped rear end. Overall, the 2024 model looks much sharper and more aggressive than the outgoing model.

The 2024 390 Duke gets a new 398.7-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which now produces 44.8 hp and 39 Nm of peak power and torque. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, offering a slight improvement over the outgoing 373-cc single-cylinder engine. It generated 43.5 hp and 37 Nm of power and torque. The engine’s bore measures 89 mm, and the stroke is 64 mm.

In terms of its mechanical components, notable features include a 43 mm WP Apex front fork suspension with compression and rebound adjustability, providing 150 mm of travel. At the rear, there’s a monoshock suspension with 5-step rebound and preload adjustability and 150 mm of travel. Additionally, the front tyre now features a 320 mm disc, while the rear tyre has a 240 mm disc. Dual-channel ABS is standard across the entire range.
