In a sad turn of events, a Tata Punch micro SUV crashes immediately after the delivery. We have seen countless incidents where accidents happen just a few moments after taking the delivery. The reason for that is quite simple. Most people take the steering wheel of a brand-new car even though they are not competent drivers. On top of that, they don’t take into consideration the time one needs to take to get used to the controls of any new car. As a result, we come across such incidents quite frequently. Let us take a look at the details of this latest crash.

Tata Punch Crashes After Delivery
This video comes from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel features content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents, as well as road safety. On this occasion, a rather disappointing incident surfaces from Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. As per the information in the video, the Punch owner was not a proper driver. He took out the car from the showroom and started driving on the road. Incidentally, the entire saga is captured on CCTV. The man takes a turn and then presses the accelerator instead of the brakes. As a result, the vehicle falls off the side of the road.

Thankfully, the car landed just a few feet away on the side of a building complex. Also, the car didn’t topple over either. Although there is no information about the exact damage to the car or injuries to the passengers, it looks like the occupants wouldn’t have sustained severe injuries judging by the nature of this crash. What is shocking is the fact that the repair costs are a jaw-dropping Rs 3.5 lakh. This means that there could be some serious injuries to the engine components of the micro SUV. We can only say that what matters is that the people came out safe and sound.

What We Think
As mentioned previously, we keep witnessing accidents of new cars quite often. It is high time we start taking such things seriously. If you don’t know how to drive or are reluctant to drive a brand-new car, make sure to take a driver with you during the time of the delivery. Get used to the car in the first few days and then start driving it on a busy road. On the other hand, if you don’t know how to drive at all, thinking of learning to drive in a brand-new car is a terrible idea. You will not just be jeopardising your own health and safety, but also the safety of your car and everyone around. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers.
