Sleeker Exterior: A Glimpse of Elegance
The exterior of the 2023 Hyundai i20 facelift carries a higher visual appeal. At the front, it features a sleeker grille, along with all-new LED headlamps that look a tad bit more modern. The addition of half arrow-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) further enhance the front fascia. In the profile, the B2-segment hatchback stays largely the same, except for the new alloy wheels. The fresh footwear should add a touch of freshness to the side. At the rear, the Maruti Baleno-rival carries a new bumper along with a sportier trim.
2023 Hyundai i20 Interior: Posher Than Before
Inside, the India-spec i20 facelift should carry updates in accordance with those of its counterpart. Flanking it will be a new all-digital instrument cluster. Tried and Trusted Engines
Under the hood, the i20 facelift retains the powertrain options that hare available on the outgoing version. What this means is that the upcoming model would feature a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol unit that delivers 83 PS and 115 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an IVT (CVT). Even the N-Line versions will receive cosmetic updates. Mechanically, though, they’ll retain the specifications. This means the go-faster version will have the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit belting out 120 PS and 172 NM. Our sources reveal that the N-Line version will drop the 6-speed iMT for a fully manual unit. The 7-speed DCT will be retained.
ou can expect the reliable 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and the efficient 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, accompanied by both manual and automatic gearbox choices. These powertrains ensure that the i20 facelift delivers not only style and sophistication but also a dynamic and exhilarating driving experience. Upon its arrival, the Hyundai i20 facelift will compete with accomplished rivals like the Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Tata Altroz. However, the new styling package, along with the additional features, could work in favour of the i20. Stay tuned for more on the 2023 Hyundai i20 facelift.
