2024 KTM 390 Duke vs 2022 Model – Specs
The new 2024 390 Duke now gets a 398.7-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces 44.8 hp and 39 Nm of peak power and torque. It pairs with a 6-speed manual transmission. This is slightly higher than the outgoing 373-cc single-cylinder engine which made 43.5 hp and 37 Nm. The bore and stroke are 89 mm and 64 mm respectively. Furthermore, the 390 Duke now gets an all-new steel Trellis frame with a die-cast aluminium sub-frame with a new curved cast swingarm. This new chassis makes the bike stiffer which is key to negotiating tight corners at high speed. Needless to mention, the overall stability of the motorcycle increases drastically.

Apart from that, the other prominent mechanical components include a 43 mm WP Apex front fork suspension with compression and rebound adjustability with 150 mm travel. At the rear, it gets a monoshock suspension with a 5-step rebound and preload adjustability with 150 mm travel. Also, the front tyre now has a 320 mm disc while the rear tyre gets a 240 mm disc. The dual-channel ABS is standard across the range. All these adjustments ensure that the new bike with be more flexible as per the requirements. The weight of the bike is 165 kg. The seat height is 820 mm.

Finally, we compare the prices of the new model and the last-gen model. At the moment, the 2022 KTM 390 Duke retails for Rs 2.97 lakh, ex-showroom. We expect the prices of the 2024 model to be around Rs 3.20 lakh, ex-showroom. The reason for that is all the updates that the new model comes with.
