Royal Enfield might reveal its electric motorcycle ‘E’ on September 1, 2023. RE is the biggest two-wheeler manufacturer in India above the 250-cc segment. Going forward, the Chennai-based two-wheeler giant is about to make a shift to electrification. Here are the details.

What We Think
There is no denying that almost all automobile companies are pivoting their businesses toward electrification. This is true for four-wheeler and two-wheeler companies. Therefore, a prominent player like Royal Enfield is bound to be in the thick of things when the industry transforms to electric vehicles. Having ambitious plans already indicates that RE is well on its way to manufacture electric bikes quite soon. We must also mention that there are new players emerging in this space like Ola and Ultraviolette. If the legacy two-wheeler giants don’t move quickly enough, they might lag behind in the electric race to the future.
