Six prototype units of the first bike jointly developed by BMW Motorrad and TVS Motors have landed in Chennai (where the TVS plant is located). The bikes have come from BMW’s test facilities in Italy and have now been transferred to TVS to let them test the bike in India conditions. We do not know what engine the bikes are equipped with, but we know that they will be sub-300cc engines. The prototypes will also be used to fine-tune the localisation process for parts, which will come in handy once the bike is set for production.
This news confirms the fact that the bike is well on its way for a end-2015 or early-2016 launch, we are exited!
