Honda Motorcycle and Scooter Private Limited (HMSI) bagged the highest recognition in terms of vehicle design for the second consecutive year from the Indian Government. The Indian Design Mark rewarded the two Honda bikes Dio and Dream Yuga for their flawless design and unmatched performance.
Through this award, the India Design mark approves the quality and level of the two products that have been developed by Honda for Indian as well as global customers. Honda Dio on one hand is an automatic scooter while Dream Yuga is Honda’s first bike for common mass of India.
India Design Mark in itself is an autonomous body that works under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Its main job is to classify, recognize, and endorse good design. In simple terms it gives de recognition and honor to products that have excellent quality and are best in terms of reliability, innovation, safety, and sustainability.
Quoting his happiness on the occasion the President and CEO of Honda Motors, Mr. Keita Muramatsu, said that, “We at Honda are delighted to win the India Design mark for Dio and Dream Yuga. Both the products are now creating new benchmarks in their category. As the highest design recognition from Indian Government, this only re-affirms customers’ appreciation of Honda’s dedicated efforts in field of designing products high on innovation.”
Dream Yuga is the first 110 cc bike that has been produced by Honda outside the umbrella of Hero Honda’s association. And the bike has managed to do pretty well as a starter. Apart from winning six remarkable awards from different Auto critics like NDTV, Zigwheels, Overdrive, and Bike India it has also received a warm response from Indian customers and has been high in terms of sales. The basic power source of this bike is an 110cc power mill that carries potential to generate power worth 9 PS at every 7500 rotations in a minute. This gives the bike an efficiency to deliver an appreciable mileage worth 72 km/ltr. The bike has been developed with a view of commuting needs of Indian bikers therefore the bike not only works well on smooth roads buy proves to be a compatible companion on uneven and traffic stricken roads as well.
Honda Dio on the other hand is the first Unisex Moto-Scooter that has been designed for Young generation. The heart of this vehicle adorns an 110cc power mill that adapts the Honda Eco technology to deliver a mileage of 60 kmpl. Some of the highlighting features of this scooter are its elegant aerodynamic wedge shape, its dashing 3D emblem, double layered side panel, decent tail light, its sporty rear, and its style studded instrument panel.
