Bajaj has been the company that has treated the Indians with some real great products and their partnerships with KTM and Kawasaki have resulted in the bringing some performance hungry bikes to the Indian shores. Both the brands already have a following in the country and they are looking to further strengthen their grip on the Indian two wheeler performance segment by launching more products.
Kawasaki Ninja 300R, the twin cylinder performance bike will be officially launched in India on the 10th of April and this news comes after a host of spyshots of the bike have skipped on to the interweb. Also the bike will be the only 300cc bike in the country and will have a power output of 39BHP-27NM. The bike is expected to be one hell of a performer and will be offered in red, white and the iconic green colour.
But that is not all, it will be joined by Bajaj’s Austrian partner, KTM’s Duke 390. The Duke 390 is expected to produced with high levels of localization to keep a tab on the pricing of the bike and as result is expected to be priced around Rs.2 lakhs. It borrows a lot of body parts from the Duke 200, making this visibly bog similar to the younger sibling in the first glance. It develops a maximum power 44BHP and a peak torque of 35NM.
The launch event of both the bikes is expected to be held on the 10th of April and this news comes courtesy of KTM Hyderabad dealer who has assured the fact that the bikes are getting launched on that date. Both the bikes have been caught testing on Indian soils quite a few times and will surely be quite the tepid sellers once they get launched. Both will come with attractive price tags and we are bound to see more of those green and orange machines on our roads in future.
