Tata Motors has revealed its plan to launch four new EVs in the Indian market. This includes the new Nexon EV, Harrier EV, Punch EV, and Curvv EV.
Tata Motors offers a range of dependable vehicles in the Indian market. The company is working on offering solid electric cars without compromising performance. The Indian brand plans to offer more eco-conscious automobiles through its electric division, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. Now, it has announced its plan to launch four new EVs. This includes the new Tata Nexon EV, Harrier EV, Punch EV, and Curvv EV. All four cars will be launched in the next 8 months. Several details of Tata’s new electric SUVs have already been revealed. Upcoming Tata EVs in India 2023-2024
Among the new models, the revamped Tata Nexon EV is likely to be the first to hit the Indian market. It is expected to be launched in late September. It will be followed by the Tata Harrier EV and Punch EV, respectively. Finally, the Tata Curvv EV is likely to be launched in the first quarter of 2024. The futuristic EV is expected to stand out the most. The company also plans to bring more sustainable technologies to Tata Motors India and Jaguar Land Rover. Chairman of Tata Sons, N Chandrasekaran announced that the brand aims to bring greener tech to 50% of Tata passenger vehicles and 65% of JLR vehicles by 2030.
Tata Nexon EV Facelift
The sub-4 meter SUV is getting a new facelift. The new design is likely to be similar to the ICE version. The 2024 Nexon EV facelift will get a redesigned LED tail lamp design. The battery pack will be tucked below the car’s floor. On the inside, the car will sport a 10-inch infotainment system, regenerative braking paddle shifters, and a new steering wheel. Currently, the Tata Nexon EV comes in two variants – Prime and Max. The 30.2 kWh battery on the Prime version offers a 312 km range on a single charge. On the other hand, the 40.5 kWh battery offers a longer range of 453 km.

Tata Harrier EV
The upcoming EV was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. It features a dual electric motor setup and an all-wheel drive configuration. The mid-size SUV is expected to be backed by a 60 kWh battery pack. It will offer a real-world range of 400-500 km. In terms of design, the Tata Harrier EV will sport a split headlamp design, a full-width LED bar, and an enclosed grille. An additional highlight of the upcoming EV includes V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities.

Tata Punch EV
The micro-SUV is finally getting an electric version. It will retain the exterior design of the original design. The Tata Punch EV is likely to be powered by Tata’s advanced Ziptron technology. It is expected to come with multiple battery pack options. The 24 kWh battery pack is likely to offer an MIDC-certified range of 315 km. On the other hand, the 19.2 kWh battery pack is tipped to offer a MIDC-certified range of 250 km. Additional features will include leatherette seats, automatic climate control, potential drive modes, regeneration levels, and telematics through Z-Connect.

Tata Curvv EV
The Tata Curvv EV will feature a futuristic design. However, it is yet to go into production. The production-spec EV will feature an SUV Coupe design roof, LED Daytime Running Lamp strips, and closed-off grilles. It will be based on Tata’s Gen-2 architecture and a modified Nexon X1 platform. Additionally, the Tata Curvv EV is expected to offer a driving range of around 400 km. As per recent reports, it will share design elements with its ICE (internal combustion engine) counterparts.
