Following its record-breaking debut in terms of first-day bookings, Kia India declares that the new Seltos has achieved an impressive 31,716 bookings within a month. The pre-orders for the new Kia Seltos have been underway since July 14, 2023. It’s currently available in a price range of INR 10.89 lakh to INR 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Serving as the bedrock of Kia’s presence in India, the Seltos brand has been instrumental in establishing the automaker, amassing over 5 lakh unit sales since 2019.

Top Trims of New Kia Seltos in High Demand
Significantly, a notable 55% of the total bookings have been made for the upper echelon trims (HTX onwards). Also, 19% orders are for the new Pewter Olive, an India-exclusive paint option. Presenting a diverse range of choices, the Kia Seltos caters to a broad spectrum of preferences with its extensive trim range, encompassing three distinct powertrain options and five transmission choices. These incluce a naturally aspirated petrol engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters, a turbo diesel engine of the same capacity, and a turbo petrol engine also measuring 1.5 liters.
The new 2023 Seltos is available in three distinct trims – X-Line, GT-Line, and Tech-Line. As for the power and torque capabilities of each engine variant, they are specified as follows:
- 1.5-litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol – 115 PS / 144 Nm
- 1.5-litre Turbocharged Diesel – 115 PS / 250 Nm
- 1.5-litre Turbocharged Petrol – 160 PS / 253 Nm (Best in Segment)
The petrol engine options are available with manual, IVT, and 7-speed DCT transmission options. Meanwhile, the diesel engine can be bought with an iMT or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Safety Features
It’s worth highlighting that the latest Seltos facelift introduces a new aspect to its repertoire: Level 2 ADAS features, which significantly elevate the vehicle’s safety capabilities. Among the notable safety features are the six-airbag system, all four disc brakes, Hill Start Assist, TPMS, Brake Force Assist, Vehicle Stability Management and Electronic Stability Control. The inclusion of a 360° camera further enhances situational awareness.
