The stories of Deepak are captured in this podcast with the man himself. This conversation comes from Bulu Pattnaik on YouTube. Deepak narrates his life events in this extensive podcast. He has been riding motorcycles professionally since he was 21. At the time, he was chasing after world records. In fact, he conquered the mighty Khardung La back in 1990. We can’t even imagine the road conditions back then. It is only in the last few years that the infrastructure has developed so much that people are able to reach there relatively comfortably.

Incredible Journeys
Deepak mentions that he met countless amazing people on the road all these years. He loves the fact that he belongs to the era when social media and the internet were not capturing people’s attention. He was able to live in the moment and actually travel to new places. Some of his prominent trips include rides in the Himalayas, circumnavigating the world across 6 continents in a record time of 47 / 119 days, 5 landings across the Antarctic Peninsular, riding between Bellingshausen Base of Russia to the Gen, Artigas Military Base of Uruguay and more. He has covered 46 borders until 2021. This video also has clips of him reaching Antarctica on the bike covering 51,000 km in just 99 days.

He writes, “Some people may try and put you off your dreams. I say to each his own. For example, many may feel that I’m rushing across borders or that I’ve missed things or that I’m doing this trip too quickly, but trust me: I have good, bad, must see, would be good to see, it’s okay to miss and save it for another trip lists and will get round to them all eventually. It’s my trip and my challenge and we shouldn’t be put off by what others say. It’s a BIG beautiful world out there and we don’t have forever.
So, if you have a dream, you need to chase it, no matter how big or difficult it may seem or what people may say about it. If you don’t push your boundaries and go for the big ones, how will you ever find your limits? Make the most of today, we’ve been blessed with a beautiful yesterday and no one has seen tomorrow…”
