PM Modi Numberplate on Honda Odyssey
This post comes from the official Twitter handle of ANI. As per the information in the tweet, Raghavendra has this custom number plate in Maryland in the USA. He owns a Honda Odyssey. He got this number back in November 2016. In the interview with ANI, he mentions, “I took this plate back in 2016, November. Narendra Modi is an inspiration to me. He inspires me to do something good for the nation, for society, for the world. PM Modi is coming here so I’m eagerly waiting to welcome him.”

Interestingly, US law allows car owners to choose a custom numberplate in some states. In Virginia, the vehicle number formate is ‘ABC-1234’ since March 2014. However, you could get a special plate at an additional cost of $10 (approx. Rs 830) per year over and above the regular charges. As a part of this provision, Raghvendra wanted ‘NARENDRA MODI’. But this was too long. As a result, he opted to get ‘NMODI’ instead. He sports this registration plate on his Honda Odyssey MPV to this day. That is a glimpse of the kind of fan-following Narendra Modi has. He is among the most popular political leaders on the planet.
