The base version of the 2013 BMW 7-Series, the 730Ld has started to roll out of BMW’s factory at Chennai. Assembled from a Complete Knock-Down kit, the 730Ld is the cheapest current generation 7-Series available in India.
The updated BMW 7-Series will go head to head with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (a model of which will be coming to India soon), the Audi A8L and the Jaguar XJ. BMW is trying hard to regain the market share it lost to Audi recently, and hopes that greater localisation (and thus reduced prices) and constant model updates will attract more buyers to its showrooms.
The BMW factory at Chennai had recently started rolling out the Mini Countryman from it’s production lines.

This time BMW India has done something special and different. We have seen lot many different things happening in auto town. Sometimes it’s about cars, technology, fuel hikes, and launches. We have found a very different art of launch this time by one and only the people who make ‘The Ultimate driving machine’ BMW India. The celebration was ‘one world retreat’ in Jodhpur India. On this celebration which held from March 8 to10 in the town of glory and pride BMW India unveiled its latest face lifted version of the 2013 BMW 7 series.
Basically if one will read this then it might happen that one can get a jolt or shock to know that such a big league player in motor industry has done such a sober but phenomenal launch of the especially called BMW LCI 7 series. We had seen even every auto maker launching their cars in big and charismatic launch auto shows. The LCI stands for the Life cycle Impulse and we predictably think that this one of the creative touches first ever to hear for the face lifted versions in auto town.
The launch was done in the presence of his highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur. The mobility Partner BMW India launched the car on the occasion of one world retreat. There were some other people, who were also present on the launch Sachin Tendulkar, the brand ambassador of BMW, Actress Dia Mirza, Socialite Suhel Seth and Industrialist Pawan Munjal and then list moves on. The 7 series is stuffed with LED headlamps, redesigned kidney grille, new front bumper, and ORVMs with integrated indicators. The rear gets a chrome strip near the tail lamps. The biggest attraction for the car was the fantastic leather seats and a 9.2 inches screen for rear passengers. We predictably think that was the cool idea to reveal the car.
