Nissan is doing great with the new Nissan Micra launched a while back which has literally turned the company’s position upside down, making it one of the most loved brands. Now its time for the brand to get a little more aggressive and to do so it has unveiled its “New Global Sedan”.
The new car is based on the Nissan V-Platform also called as the Versatile platform and this new car will be showcased at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition in December 2010. Although the officials have not hinted about it being a sedan version of the Micra but it is certainly expected to be.
“Following the success of our first locally made car –the Nissan Micra, we are happy to reveal the first sketch of the second car to be produced in India. We are confident that the “New Global Sedan”, which is also based on the versatile ‘V’ platform, will delight the discerning Indian customers. The model will be launched in India in the second half of 2011.” said, Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director & CEO, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL).
The car will initially be sold in the Chinese Market and will later be forwarded to other markets including the Indian one by second half of 2011.

The car is speculated to come equipped with Logan’s 1.5 Litre CRDI Diesel engine and a 1.6 Litre MPFI Petrol engine, but we wish to inform you that there is no firm information on the car’s technical details and it could be subjected to changes.
