The Punch owner has just driven the Exter and he shares his experience with the audience. He says that he is impressed by the micro SUV. It is particularly smooth which is a great boon in city traffic. Apart from that, it also handles really well which is a great testament to its driving dynamics. But for the long journeys, he still prefers the punch. Also, he is not satisfied with the term SUV as he thinks of the Exter as a crossover hatchback.

On the other hand, the Tata Punch comes equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, generating a peak power of 88 PS and torque of 115 Nm. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic transmission. It impressively achieves a mileage of 20.09 km/l. The Punch has competitively pricing, with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9.52 lakh. We reckon that the 4-cylinder engine in the Exter is what makes the entire operation smooth compared to the 3-cylinder engine in the Punch.
