Hyundai i20 Driver Runs Over a Man
This post has been shared by yehlatestnewshai on Instagram. It captures a horrendous case of a man sitting in the middle of the road. As per the information in the video, this took place in Ghaziabad’s Kavi Nagar on Tuesday. An i20 is coming from the opposite side. Instead of stopping, it appears like the driver didn’t see the man on the road at all. He continues to drive and ends up running over the man. Coincidentally, someone sitting in the car in the opposite direction recorded the entire episode. The video also captures two bikers who witnessed the entire incident and stopped to confront the man and check on the deceased.

The driver of the i20 finally comes out to realise what he has done. Since the video went viral and had the details of the registration plate of the car, the police were able to trace this man as a certain Saurav Sharma. He was arrested and his car was seized. The identity of the deceased man was still unconfirmed. We can only hope that a proper judicial route will be followed to put this case to its logical conclusion.

What We Think
To be honest, we are also deeply hurt and shaken up by this video. However, there are some questions that need to be looked at. For instance, why was this man sitting in the middle of the road? Secondly, it is possible that the driver of the car who was recording the video might be driving on a high beam making the driver of the i20 temporarily blind. Because it appears like the latter was not able to see the man on the road at all. That is only possible if the lights of the car approaching from the opposite direction were blinding him. We hope that this case is closed as quickly as possible.
