Maruti Suzuki has been the largest carmaker in the country ever since its inception.
Here is an inspirational case of a man who owned a Maruti 800 for 22 years and then decided to buy the Jimny. 800 has to be one of the most iconic models ever produced in India. People bought it left and right and it was the default first vehicle of most Indians. However, due to the recent emission and safety regulations, the product had to be discontinued in its original form. Now, Maruti sells the Alto 800 in its place. On the other hand, Jimmy is one of the most iconic off-roading vehicles on the planet. India got its taste of the Jimny (2nd generation) a couple of decades ago as the Gypsy. The existing Jimny is in its fourth generation and it is the first time that it has been launched in a 5-door guise.
