Former Indian cricketer Praveen Kumar narrowly survives in a huge accident in his Land Rover Defender luxury SUV
Famous Indian cricketer Praveen Kumar narrowly escaped a major accident in Meerut, UP. The mishap took place on Tuesday as Praveen was driving his Land Rover Defender luxury SUV. He was accompanied by is son. The mishap took place as his SUV crashed into a speeding canter in city’s Pandav Nagar. Thankfully, though, the cricketer and his son were completely scratches inspite of the SUV suffering a huge damage in the crash. Meanwhile, the canter driver was apprehended by the local police.

Cricketer’s Land Rover Defender Suffers Heavy Damage in Mishap
The impact on the Land Rover Defender of Praveen Kumar was so big that the the entire front section of the vehicle was damaged beyond recognition. It maybe noted here that the Defender is a popular luxury SUV that has been the choice of many celebs. It is available with multiple engine options, including 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre petrol mills. In fact, the Defender 90 and 110 are even on sale with a giant 5.0-litre V8 petrol motor. The latest incident is similar to the accident involving Rishabh Pant. The famous wicketkeeper’s Mercedes GLE suffered a high-speed accident while the cricketer was travelling form Delhi to Dehradun. The crash was of such high intensity that Pant’s luxury SUV overturned many times before it came to a rest and caught fire.

It was indeed fortunate that both Praveen Kumar and his son escaped unhurt from a near life-threatening incident. However, such mishaps go on to highlight the importance of careful driving along with even showcasing the unpredictable nature of our road traffic. Speaking on the incident, Praveen Kumar expressed relief on being unhurt. He said, “It could have been a lot worse. By the grace of god we are okay and I am talking to you. I had gone to drop my nephew, but a massive truck hit my car from behind around 9:30 pm. Thank God it was a big car, else there could have been injuries.”
