Maruti Jimny is the talk of the town as it is the hottest new vehicle in the market having being launched less than a month ago.
Here is a bizarre video where a brand-new Maruti Jimny is being cut to perform severe modifications. Jimny is a potent lightweight off-roading SUV that has been a prominent product in the international markets for decades now. In fact, India got the taste of the Jimny in its second generation in the form of Gypsy. That is still among the best off-roaders ever created and the off-roading community reveres it. Now we have got the fourth generation model and that too in the 5-door guise. Maruti wanted to access a wider range of audience with it which is why it went for the practical 5-door version which has been done on the Jimny for the first time ever. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.

Maruti Jimny Cut for Modifications
The video has been uploaded by Thisisgabru on YouTube. The vlogger has handed his Jimny over to an aftermarket car modifier. There are a lot of SUVs being modified at this car shop. However, we were shocked to find out what the plan for Jimny was. The YouTuber has started the modification process where the entire interior of the SUV has been removed including the door panels, doors, seats, tailgate, etc. In fact, the windows were also broken. But what really was hurtful to see is the cutting of Jimny. The workers cut the SUV from the middle including the roof and C-pillars.

By the end of the video, the entire top rear section was removed, essentially making it a soft-top model. The vlogger also mentions that it hurts to see a brand-new car being destroyed like this. However, he is quite enthusiastic about the final customizations that have been planned for Jimny. He says that the subsequent videos will showcase a crazy modification of this Jimny that will be at par with the modifications done abroad. Well, only time will tell if that is so.

What We Think
Now, there are so many things wrong with this insanely idiotic modification. Firstly, all the components have been removed from the inside and the doors. We all know that factory fittings are the best and trying to put back things will always reduce the quality and rattling sounds might start pretty soon afterwards. Secondly, by cutting the body in half, you are compromising the build quality and the strength of the structure. It is bound to leave the overall vehicle weak since a large part of the body has simply been removed. The load transfer will get affected big time which might even reflect in the way it will drive. Finally, the warranty is null and void. We highly urge our readers to never do anything like this.
