2013 Honda CR-V has been the talk of the town since it was showcased in 2011 and we have bought all the information in last months. Recently we reported that the new Honda CR-V will cost less than the previous generation due to localization of the components and local assembling. New spy pictures have arrived of the new CR-V according to which demo cars have already reached the dealers.
The fourth generation of Honda’s CR-V is one of the most anticipated launches of the 2013, the rumors were building around the SUV from the very beginning. Now IndianAutosBlog have published pictures of the 2013 CR-V at Honda dealerships. The car in the pictures is surely either a demo car which will help the dealers in sales and service training. The SUV looks stunning in white, the engine in the pictures is a 2.4 litre powered petrol engine with a 4wd (4 wheel drive) option.
The car will also be available with one more engine option i.e. the 2.0 litre i-VTEC petrol engine which produces 153 BHP. The Honda will not give the diesel option right away and is expected to launch this year but no official announcement is made by the company.
The CR-V will be a CKD (Completely knocked down unit) rather than a CBU (Completely Built Unit) will give Honda tax benefits. The CR-V will be available with two transmission options a 5 speed automatic and a 6 speed manual. The SUV will be launched on 12 February, the price is expected to be 22-25 lakhs and in this segment it will face heat with the Toyota Fortuner, SSangyong Rexton, and Hyundai Santa Fe. Honda is expecting high from its new SUV and it will be interesting to see if priced aggressively CR-V can do any great for the company without the presence of a Diesel engine at the launch.
