It is expected to get things like full-LED lighting at the front with projector headlamps, a sculpted fuel tank with extensions, a sporty profile, compact rear view mirrors, sleek turn indicators, split-seat setup, sporty exhaust, a short tail section, a rear tyre hugger, wide pulled-back handlebar, centrally mounted foot pegs, chunky grab handles, 18-inch alloys, fully digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity and much more.

Expected Specs
It could be powered by a 125cc air-cooled engine that will generate a healthy 10.7 hp and 10.6 Nm of peak power and torque which is slightly lower than TVS Raider. This engine could be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. At the front, we could see telescopic forks and at the rear, there could be a monoshock unit. Also, the front tyre could have a disc brake while the rear tyre will have a drum brake. We might see the launch around the festive season this year and the prices will be competitive. That is how Hero would try to woo customers.

What We Think
Hero MotoCorp is already a force to be reckoned with when it comes to entry-level and small-capacity engine-powered motorcycles in India. With something like the 125R, it aims to further strengthen its place amidst rising competition. Remember, most bike buyers in India are concentrated in the small-capacity bike segment. Hence, if Hero is able to price it competitively, it will give its rivals a run for their money. We shall keep an eye out for the latest development in this space. More details will surface closer to the launch.
