What We Think
Mahindra has been working quite effectively and tirelessly towards reducing the waiting times on its popular models. We saw this problem arise last year with the Mahindra Thar and the XUV700 when the industry was reeling under the effects of semiconductor chip shortage. Now that that issue has been resolved, we see the waiting time is dipping quite significantly. Nevertheless, these times are quite high on some variants which might turn down a lot of people. Waiting times of 55 weeks means that one will have to wait for over a year to get their SUV.
