Aftermarket automobile modifications can be quite extreme sometimes as seen in this latest video clip.
A Hero Splendor motorcycle was slapped with a touchscreen display in place of the headlight recently. We know how creative and unique the aftermarket automobile modification houses can be. While there are more cases of people modifying their cars, we also get people who alter their two-wheelers with innovative techniques. Splendor is one of the most successful and popular products in the country. That is why people often use this as the bike on which the modifications are done. Here are the details.

Hero Splendor with Touchscreen Instead of Headlight
This video clip has been uploaded by prince_arts__ on Instagram. The visual captures a unique sight. It shows a bike parked in a modification house with a giant touchscreen at the exact location where the stock headlight is supposed to be. Interestingly, it looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. The original headlight has been removed completely. This is clearly something for passion instead of practicality. While this won’t make any difference to the riding during the day, one can’t take it out for a night ride.

Also, this is clearly a passion project or for someone who has other means to commute. As a result, he/she is allowing the modification house to demonstrate their creativity on this motorbike. One can see the videos being played on the large screen. This is something quite cool and a party trick rather than having any real-life purpose. Hence, if you want to show off something cool on your old Splendor, this could be a great option. But if a Splendor is all you have, this might not be a feasible option for you.

What We Think
We are aware of the passion and excitement people feel to get their vehicles modified. However, we must mention that one needs to be in the know of the local RTO rules. Most modifications on automobiles are illegal in India. If you want to get your vehicle modified and use it for the daily commute, you might most likely encounter issues with the traffic cops. Moreover, you will be challaned and asked to remove the modification anyway. Therefore, if you are planning to do some modifications to your vehicle, either do it for fun without using it on the road or consult the RTO to know which alterations are allowed.
