There are tons of reports about the new Tesla Cybertruck on the internet but the largest EV maker in the world remains tight-lipped about any of it.
The upcoming Tesla Cybertruck is rumoured to have a premium sound system with dual subwoofers if the rumours on the internet are anything to go by. Cybertruck has been one of the most highly-anticipated EVs on the planet for years now. First unveiled in 2019, its launch has evaded us all these years. But we do end up spotting it every now and then keeping our curiosity about the electric pickup truck alive. There are a lot of Tesla enthusiasts out there who try to keep an eye out for any information about Tesla cars. This looks like one such Tesla fan who has observed something truly remarkable about the Cybertruck.

Tesla Cybertruck with Dual Subwoofers
We know that there was the Investor Day presentation at Tesla in March. In fact, the shareholders’ meeting has also unveiled a lot of information on what to expect from Tesla. During the Investor Day presentation, a Tesla enthusiast, Matthew Donegan-Ryan made an interesting discovery. He spotted the presence of two triangular boxes beneath the rear seats in the image showcased at the event. This may well be the dual-subwoofer setup considering the weird location for placing them. We know that the size and shape of the Cybertruck are quite unique.

As a result, Tesla had to find a special space for this arrangement. Generally, the subwoofers are placed in the boot but the Cybertruck already has a compact boot compared to traditional cars. Hence, fitting in underneath the seats could be the solution. Matthew posted on Twitter, “CYBERTRUCK NEWS HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT: The Model S, 3, X and Y all come with premium surround sound systems with an 8” subwoofer. But the Cybertruck will come with dual 8” ported subwoofers under the rear seats aimed forward. @elonmusk has prioritized entertainment in Teslas because once your vehicle is autonomous, you’ll need something to keep you occupied.”

What We Think
While there are tons of rumours about the upcoming Tesla cars in the market, this one looks quite legitimate. Sure, there could be some changes to the design subsequently, but we might very well see this arrangement because Elon Musk had promised last year that the Cybertruck would boast an epic sound system. This certainly looks epic. Also, to justify the delays in the launch of the Cybertruck, Tesla will have to ensure that it is loaded with the kit to the brim. Therefore, an spic sound system like this might well be on the cards.
