Bajaj is planning to launch the performance-focused NS250 in our market to offer a sporty iteration in the 250-cc segment.
The launch of the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS250 has been confirmed, as per the information in this latest video. Pulsar is a household name in our country. Bajaj has made sure that it offers some version of the iconic Pulsar in all major segments of the market. That is what has made it so popular among the two-wheeler owners. Every now and then, Bajaj launches an NS version of the regular bikes to attract riding enthusiasts. Currently, we get the F250 and N250 but the NS250 is missing. We might be able to see that by early next year (2024) if the information in this video is accurate.

Bajaj Pulsar NS250 Launch
The video has been uploaded by Rash Gear on YouTube. It is a prominent channel for news and information regarding motorcycles in India. The YouTuber says that since the sales of the existing F250 and N250 are rather underwhelming, the launch of the sportier NS250 might be imminent. However, if Bajaj launches it now, the already dwindling sales of the F250 and N250 will completely collapse. Hence, it might wait until the end of this year to launch it. That makes sense from the business point of view.

This could include things like LED lights for the projector headlamps, taillamps, DRLs and turn indicators. Apart from that, the overall design will be much more premium and sporty than the regular 250 counterparts. There will also be a digital instrument cluster with all sorts of information for the rider, Bluetooth connectivity and much more.

What We Think
Bajaj has been the king in the segments up to 250-cc in our market for a long time now. It knows when to pivot the strategy if something is not working. For instance, the 250 bikes of Pulsar are not doing very well in terms of sales. Hence, it makes sense to modify the strategy a bit and test the waters by introducing the NS variant. Note that it has achieved success with the NS200 in the past as well. Therefore, it could help revive the sales in the 250 segment going forward.
