Mahindra XUV700 is the flagship product from the house of the Indian auto giant and has been received tremendously well by the audience.
A Mahindra XUV700 owner has reported alleged water leakage from the sunglass holder. XUV700 is among the most popular SUVs in its segment since its inception. The Indian auto giant is relishing the success of XUV700 with long waiting periods even after almost 2 years of launch. That is a testament to the love people have for Mahindra products. That has been reaffirmed after the launch of the new Scorpio N. However, there are those odd cases where the owners have allegedly reported some terrible issues with SUVs like this one. Here are the details.

The video has been uploaded by Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. This time around, there are visuals shared by the owner from inside his XUV700. While the vehicle is being driven in the rain, there is alleged water leakage from the sunglass holder. Note that the owner specifically mentions that it is not from the sunroof, which is a rather common occurrence. A certain Er HanuMan Kashyap shared the details of this case on social media, which is the trend these days. Allegedly, there are droplets of water seen covering the area around the handbrake of the SUV in addition to the panel around the sunglass holder.

He shared the details via a post on social media saying, “This is a worst build quality of xuv700.my xuv700 Ax5’s roof leakage water in one day raining from the sunglass box. Please take immediate action on this issue. This is totally disappointing. We can’t expect this silly mistake in xuv700.” The owner evidently seems disappointed and frustrated with this issue which is only fair. This problem comes just weeks after the famous YouTuber reporting water leakage from the sunroof of his Scorpio N which became viral.

What We Think
The report of alleged leakage through XUV700’s sunglasses holder comes just a few weeks after an owner of a Scorpio N reported leakage through the sunroof. While the claim of the Scorpio N owner looked dubious and his leakage video staged, the same doesn’t seem to be the case with the XUV700. We can understand the irritation that this owner must be feeling after spending a big amount on an SUV like the XUV700. Such issues are not expected in cars of this segment. That is why such reports must be taken seriously by brands and addressed if these issues really exist. It is understandable that vehicles could face issues since they are just machines, but such basis quality issues in cars of this segment are not expected and are not acceptable. We hope that Mahindra addesses this soon.
